WikiLeaks at work with Climate Change

Slide1 (1)CIA spying intimidation and money influencing leads to The Copenhagen Summit Accord. From there The Copenhagen Summit would lead to Mitigation and Adaption. The Summit would hopefully then lead to a large permanent noticeable and sustainable change in the reduction of Greenhouse Gasses. I think the illustrations in the constructed diagram and accurately portray the series and sequence of events regarding the Wiki Climate Change Cable.

I certainly feel that this information should be and should have been public information and not withheld for WikiLeaks to divulge. Not to discredit the great work that Wiki Leaks does, they certainly do a lot of great work for the public regarding exposing corruption. I think the fact that there were secrets being kept regarding the issue of Climate Change is ridiculous. America needs much more transparency. The issue of Climate Change can be resolved collectively and individually. The issue of nations receiving funding to mitigate the issue on some levels is viable to some degree I would think given the situation. However nations such as Saudi Arabia having there hands out for funding when they are a gigantic proportionally speaking part of the problem could be categorized as “Looney Tunes”.

  1. Hi Brian! My name is Kara. I enjoyed reading your post. I also like your diagram. It is very bright, which caught my eye. I agree that the information should have been released to the public. Because of this, you don’t really know what they are not telling us. However, I think it needs to be a group effort to resolve climate change in all the countries. If you have time, check out my post. Here is the link.

  2. Hi Brian, my name is Samantha and I took the time to read your blog post for this module. The use of the color red in your diagram was very hard on my eyes, but that just made the anger of this situation really pop from my emotions. I would have liked to have a better description of what is going on in your diagram as some of your sections were just one or a few words. I do agree with you on the fact that critical information like this should be made aware to the public. Even if the news is bad, we should not have it hidden from us as people.

I like the use of red in the diagram. It really caught my eye. I agree with you completely that we need to be transparent in the information we are creating and sharing. This is not just an effort to solely benefit the United States, but a serious issue which can potentially destroy our entire planet!

  4. Hey Brain,
Thanks for sharing your blog post, you can check out my post and system diagram at the following link: http://geog030.dutton.psu.edu/2016/04/08/jordan-dodderer-climate-changewikileaks/

I really like the colorfulness of your diagram. The graphic quality is striking and caught my eye on the posts. I wish that you had more explanation on your arrows so we could understand the underlying connections between them. Your explanatory paragraph didn’t really help me make those connections either, but I think that I could infer where you are going with it! I agree with your second paragraph. I think that the government should be making such dealings public information. The government is an agency of representation and any organization that exposes corruption is doing society a favor.

Thanks again for sharing your post!
